Looks like Dolce & Gabbana don’t expect chinese people to love pizza anymore.
Following last year’s PR debacle in China, Dolce & Gabbana brings in Carlo Gariglio, who has been working in the region for over 20 years, most recently for Salvatore Ferragamo.
As president and CEO for Asia/Pacific, he is expected to help rebuild the brand’s reputation in the region, (and that’s good) after a commercial showing a Chinese woman trying to eat pizza with chopsticks, forced it to cancel its November 2018 show in Shanghai and had important retailers like Lane Crawford delist it from their assortment.
