Fake online transactions : a trillion dollar

An analysis of over 1.2 billion online transactions reveals, that more than half the logins to social platforms are from fake users, and about 25 percent of new account applications are fraudulent. Most of these attacks originate in the Philippines, followed by the US, Russia, the UK and Indonesia. By 2021, global damages from cybercrime are estimated surpass $6 trillion.
