This season the Lebanese couturier took architecture as an inspiration; one that belongs to Southern Asia where an Indian empress flaunts a gown which exudes feminity and complements her strong aura.

The palette of choice comes in sets of three, from metalic shades of light grey and rose gold to ruby red, emerald green and sapphire blue. Incorporated on fine materials of velvet, silk and leather with the brand’s signature aesthetics of embellished sequins and swarovski crystals.

The details of delicate oriental embroidery form an arabesque mosaic of masterpieces. Beirut is the setting of the architectural beauty that hosted the Fall/Winter 2022-23 Couture catwalk.

“I chose the Rhombus, a diamond-shaped design, at the center of this collection as it elongates the silhouette. I want to celebrate a woman’s body, she is a vision and a fruit of my imagination. She belongs to a far away land in the East yet remains contemporary and ever so elegant,” – Ziad Nakad.

Autumn/Winter 2022-23 – Automne-Hiver 2022-23 | Haute Couture Week

It is Nakad’s homage to his homeland Lebanon, a country that merges tales of different époques and is repeatedly adapting to challenges and the fast life of today.

A woman is confident and exudes charm and playfulness for the upcoming season. The cuts are structured, a mixture of the far orient with the modern occident.

The colors are reminiscent of a peaceful nature with notes of rose gold, silver and shades of metallic with fine and detailed embroidery.

The Ziad Nakad woman for this season is a showstopper, an empress on her throne and a muse for her spectators.

“My collection celebrates a woman’s body, the Rhombus, a diamond-shaped design, elongates the silhouette. I was inspired by the architecture of Indian palaces and the fusion of the east meets west,” comments the Lebanese couturier.
