Trump administration’s new tax laws

Taxing times. Now that the Trump administration’s new tax laws are in effect, many US taxpayers are receiving smaller than anticipated refunds this year or owing the federal government for the first time.

This change has analysts and retailers worried and is already forcing some US stores such as Dillard’s to cut their earnings estimates. According to the government, the average tax refund is already down $170 compared to last year.
