Fashion is a temporary trend in collective references or behaviors, specific to a given period and linked to a phenomenon of imitation. Fashions can exist in various fields, notably artistic:
- in the field of clothing, fashion is the way of clothing, specific to an era or a region according to trends.
- modes (french) in the plural denotes the adjustments and adornments of female toiletries, and applies more particularly to women’s hats: fashion store, a fashion merchant, to be shown the fashions. Arts of making the same objects: learning fashions.
