Is Instagram the future of fashion journalism?
Instagram, which recently showed that Paris Fashion Week generated the most buzz of any fashion week this season, has launched another new social-media trend. Hundreds of so-called closet accounts run by teens have emerged on the app of late. These curious, investigative youngsters use them to identify what brand or product their favorite celebrity or influencer is wearing and then share their findings with their followers. The phenomenon has led the New York Times to question whether these kids and their accounts are “the future of fashion journalism.”
