New York Fashion Week 2019, goes from 7 to 5 days
NYFW organization to trim down the next 2019 edition
The next New York Fashion Week won’t run an entire week. Under the order of incoming chairman Tom Ford, who assumes that job on June 1, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has decided to trim down the next edition to five days and five nights instead of the usual seven. It is hoped that the leaner version – which will start on September 6 – will bring more global attention to NYFW, which has lost some of its international relevance in recent seasons.
