Xavier Romatet appointed as IFM new general manager
IFM’s new general manager : Xavier Romatet
Xavier Romatet will take over Institut Francais de la Mode. Beginning August 26, the veteran of the advertising industry who was head of Conde Nast France will become general manager of the fashion school, succeeding Dominique Jacomet. He arrives at the IFM at a crucial time, just after the merger of the Institute with the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture. Mission: create the world’s best fashion school.
About Xavier Romatet :
Graduated from Sciences Po, holder of a Master degree in business law and MBA from HEC, Xavier Romatet began his career in marketing and communication, as co-founder of the agency Directing, then General Manager and Co-President of DDB France. In 2006 he became CEO of Condé Nast France (publisher of Vogue, Glamor, GQ, AD and Vanity Fair), a position he will hold for more than 12 years, and from 2016 he is appointed Vice President of Condé Nast International and member of the Executive Committee. Xavier Romatet chaired the Association of Graduates of HEC from 2008 to 2011.
