Neiman Marcus’ senior vice president and fashion director, Ken Downing, is leaving the luxury retailer on March 29 to take the position of creative director at Canadian mall developer Triple Five Group, which owns large centers including the Mall of America and the soon-to-open American Dream Meadowlands.
Downing had been with the Dallas-based company in various positions since 1990 and was named fashion director in 2006.
At Triple Five he will lead all design, marketing, events and PR related activities and report to American Dream president Don Ghermezian.

A native of Seattle, Washington, Mr. Downing was educated at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, where he studied fashion and apparel design.
He is on the board of the prestigious CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation.
Mr. Downing resides in Dallas, Texas. He is an avid collector and connoisseur of 20th Century contemporary furniture and art.
His expansive collections and well-appointed style have been featured in numerous national publications.
